AceInfo is currently seeking a Junior Software .Net Engineer to support our federal project, in Washington, DC Project Overview This contract provides the technical software development support (38 systems total) to the grant lifecycle (pre-award, award generation, post award) for the COPS Office. The project consists of a team of 28 staff members divided into 2 major teams (AMG and NexGen). Position Description The COPS Office, an agency of the Department of Justice, is seeking a Junior Software .Net Engineer to provide OM support as well as new development to support the existing COPS application portfolio (41 applications). The Junior Software Engineer would provide technical support using standard ASP.Net development support for applications that use MVC, Entity Framework and standard .Net coding. The Junior Software Engineer should have some (if limited) experience working with SQL Server 2017 as the backend database support. The Junior Developer could be asked to assist with multiple projects at once and take direction from the NexGen Task Manager, AMG Task Manager, Program Manager and work collaboratively with 28 other staff members. Responsibilities Willing to learn new and exciting technologies within a government IT environment Work with Architect to identify and execute changes to software Write concise, robust, well-documented code in Microsoft ASP.Net, C, and JavaScript Work with data engineers to receive database support via defined interfaces using SQL Server 2017 Build custom controls for new framework forms engine Participate in peer review process and lend expertise to team members Follow established processes and coding standards Qualifications Bachelor Degree related to IT (Computer Science, Cyber Security, Database Development, etc.) No more than 3 years of professional work experience after graduation from college Some experience writing custom using Microsoft ASP.Net Ability to speak in technical detail about new and existing code Practical experience creating ASP.Net server controls, web methods, and web services Practical knowledge of C, ASP.Net 4, pure MS JavaScript, CSS 2, .Net data access Understanding of XML and its implementation in .Net Work in a fast-paced federal contract environment Some familiarity with Agile Development methodology Agile or Kanban Understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud hosting Follow technical direction and contribute to developing processes Understanding of cyber security Understanding of federal guidelines for information security and contract work Additional Information U.S. Citizenship is required and the ability to pass the government background Company Information Ace Info Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer with a commitment to diversity.
