Role Sr. Storage Systems Administrator Work Location The Woodlands, TX Number of Positions 1 Type Fulltime Perm US CITIZENS AND THOSE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE US ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY. ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED AT THIS TIME Summary Supports all aspects of converged infrastructure solution including virtualized on-premise and cloud-based computing, storage and services. Is responsible for virtualization administration, server operating system administration, storage and storage area network administration, Active Directory including ADFS and AAD and other aspects of infrastructure operations management. Performs assigned project responsibilities relating to converged infrastructure solution design, services implementation and operations. Is expected to actively engage in mentoring junior staff members. Has experience with global infrastructure operations including global monitoring and remote operation of applications, databases and infrastructure services. Strives to automate proactive monitoring and to orchestrate administration steps to improve service levels and reduce service unit cost. Requirements Bachelorrsquos Degree in computer science (educational equivalent), Business (with computer science component), networking, infrastructure or general IT. Will consider a minimum of 15 yearsrsquo experience in lieu of education. 10 yearsrsquo experience in a clientserver environment, preferably with global infrastructure footprint and minimum server count of 500. MCSE Certification preferred Advanced knowledge of Windows Server Operating System, system and dataserver back-ups including DNS, Exchange and security patching. Experience in the Microsoft Technology Stack (AD, ADFS, AAD) required Ms Exchange (on-premise) and O365 experience strongly desired. Advanced knowledge of LINUXUNIX, VMware, Veeam as well as Cisco and Nimble hardware support and operations. Advanced knowledge of mobile device management, and IT mobility management. Strong understanding of cybersecurity and disaster recovery. Experience with project management in a small to midsize team setting Demonstrable experience in achieving and measuring service level and operations improvements ITSM and ITIL certifications a plus. Ability to promptly answer 2nd3rd level support emails, phone calls and other electronic communications Consistently sets and meets agreed-on goals, expectations, and responsibilities measures success in terms of work completed on-time, on-budget and to expected customer requirements. Ability to balance creativity, innovation and problem-solving skills with a need for structure, documentation and quality RESPONSIBILITIES Microsoft Windows Server Operating System installation, configuration, operations, monitoring and optimization experience required, RHEL or other enterprise Linux server operating system experience desired. VMWare ESXESXi server and data center virtualization experience required, Oracle Virtualization Manager (OVM) and Microsoft Hyper-V a plus. Cisco UCS hardware installation, configuration, operations, monitoring and optimization experience required. Nimble Storage installation, configuration, operations, monitoring and optimization experience required. AD, ADFS, AAD implementation, configuration, operations, monitoring and optimization experience required, Octa, Ping and other 3rd party SSO solution integration experience a plus. Citrix and Netscaler implementation, configuration, operation, monitoring and optimization experience required. Veeam virtualization and backup management solution experience Azure andor AWS cloud services configuration, deployment, operations, monitoring and optimization experience strongly desired. MS Exchange (on-premise) and O365 configuration, deployment, operations, monitoring and optimization experience strongly desired. O365 migration experience a plus. SCCM, SCOM and Solarwinds system operations, monitoring, patching and automation experience strongly desired. Demonstrable hands-on experience of hybrid cloud deployment and operations experience strongly desired. Hands-on Azure andor AWS cloud services configuration, deployment, operations, monitoring and optimization experience a plus. Clear understanding of data center networking concepts and experience with firewalls, load balancers, DNS, DHCP, data center routing and switching required. WAN and LAN networking knowledge strongly desired. Experience with multi-site disaster recovery activities strongly desired. Experience in supporting and participating in Cyber Security Incident Management and Response events a plus.
